Peru 2009

The 2009 Peru workshop, Adapting to a World Without Glaciers,” was an international, multidisciplinary workshop held in Lima and Huaraz, Peru in July 2009.  The objectives of the workshop were to facilitate discussion among scientists, practitioners, and policy makers about climate change vulnerabilities and risks in glacier-dominated systems; catalyze thinking that formulates innovative approaches that facilitate adaptation to changing environmental and climatic conditions; and identify priority research, collaboration, and action needs. Key recommendations for future collaborative research and development projects were developed.  Details of the workshop can be found in the conference proceedings in the “Knowledge Library”.
